Late winter ice-Rainbow action.
Posted on March 12th, 2017Die-hard ice anglers that love to trout fish know that late winter is one of the best times to target brook & rainbow trout in northern lakes.
Allen shows-off one of many good-size rainbows he an his friend have caught fishing about 4-5 hrs north of Toronto, ON. Guys that find rainbow trout keep the lakes to themselves and rightly so, these fish are excellent sport, but often tough to find.
Notice the jig combination that fooled this rainbow. You can use flashy spoons, Lunker City Fin-S-Fish and the Jigging Rapala, but sometimes all you need is a jig worked throughout the water column!
