Late Fall Smallmouth & surprise Musky.
Posted on December 7th, 2021Our friend Michael Szwez had a chance to get out on Georgian Bay with his son and friend for a late fall-season fish outing. They were targeting Smallmouth Bass on humps when all of a sudden Michael’s son had a surprise big fish on.

It turned out to be a trophy-size Musky that picked-up a soft-plastic fished as a Ned-rig right on the bottom. Just goes to show you that you don’t have to fish big baits to hook a big fish!

They also did well catching chunky Smallmouth Bass fishing humps that came up to 20′ of water and surrounded by 60′ water. Smallmouth Bass, Walleye, Pike and Musky will visit these same structure areas as water temps drop looking for forage before ice-up.
