Few anglers seem to post much on fishing the north-shore of Lake Superior, ON. Well our good friend Joe Kubassek was fishing with his daughter Sarah and they had a blast trolling in shallow-water using a wobbling plug and targeting late summer salmon.
They had a couple of Superior surprises by hooking a nice Lake Trout shown in our featured image just off shore. Lake Superior waters are cold all summer long so don’t be surprised if you fish the 30-40′ range and tie into a nice Laker!
Joe also had a pleasant surprise when he also hooked a nice Whitefish trolling a spoon in the general area. I guess it was OK that he didn’t hook a salmon.
