I’ve talked to several anglers recently who have asked me if the Migratory Lake Ontario Browns are near-shore? My answer yes!! This is a great time to flat-line troll along the shorelines from Grimbsby to the Niagara River, ON mouth.
Darryl Penhale caught some nice browns fishing harbor mouths can can confirm that the brown are healthy, hitting and fighting well.
Best lures to use for flat-line trolling are those that will run in the 15-20′ ranger over 30′ depths. Lures like the Jointed Rapala #11 & Lil’ Cleo 3/8 oz spoon are two of the most productive.
