Lake Ontario Salmon fishing.
Posted on July 25th, 2019Darryl Penhale just sent us an update on the Chinook salmon fishing in Lake Ontario.
Darryl was fishing all weekend and hooked some really nice salmon. He was fishing over 250-270 feet of water. The water was cold so they didn’t have thier baits too deep.
They hooked nice fish on both fluttering spoons and flasher/fly combinations 40 ft down 245. They report seeing a few bait balls but nothing significant. The warmer water was out a bit but guys were doing OK in tight too.
Saturday was a spoon bite for Darryl and Fri. and Sunday they preferred the flasher/fly combo.
