Sometimes fishing Lake Ontario for salmon & trout you end up with a big surprise. It could be a trophy Atlantic Salmon, or in Capt. Aldo Nava who operates www.niagarafishingadventures.com , case a trophy Coho Salmon. If there are baitfish around and you are trolling at the right depth, you have as good a chance to catch Chinook, Coho, Steelhead, Brown & Lake Trout and even the sparser Atlantic Salmon. They all strike the same lure/bait presentation but fight slightly different. Lakers like to “dog-fight”, often feeling like a heavy weight due to their large mouths being open during a fight. Chinooks like to go crazy and rip line off and head-shake violently. Steelhead, Coho and Atlantics like to fly through the air. All are great fun!!
