Lake Huron Steelhead.
Posted on April 8th, 2016While most anglers in southern Ontario target the Lake Ontario tributaries for steelhead, many like to venture north and west to fish the less pressured tributaries that flow into Lake Huron. The Lake Huron tributaries may not have the “quantity” of the southern streams, but in many cases more “quality” locations to catch steelhead.
Matt Cory, TOPSET owner is shown holding the silver female steelhead as the featured image which he caught float fishing near the Lake Huron at Port Albert, ON. Fresh roe bags, a sensitive float, a light leader, and being at the right place at the right time can result in beautiful Lake Huron steelhead!
