Wayne Sheridan reports: Fishing huts were finally brought out on Lake Simcoe last week.
The ice is only about 7 inches thick in the south bay, so be careful. Some friends rented a hut today but the perch action was a little slow with only a few large perch caught. There was a lot of water and slush on top of the ice. Caution if you’re planning on going out. Make sure you have safe ice!
