Jason & Tyler Howick report. We went to the Grand River at Dunnville, ON this yesterday and it was very cold and windy. The lower stretch of the Grand River below the Dunnville Dam was up from all the rain on Friday. Drifting floating logs, sticks, weeds and various other debris constantly hit and caught our lines. The water temperature was 47F in the lower section near Lake Erie first thing in the morning and as we moved closer to the dam the water temperature had risen to 51F in some areas. We fished 5 1/2 hours and caught a 14 & 6lb channel catfish, a big bull head and we also missed a few smaller fish. The fishing should continue to improve with warmer temperatures and stable weather.
