Lake Erie, ON tributary steelhead.

Posted on November 15th, 2016

Our good friend Joe Kubassek had a chance to fish with one of his sons Simeon who has been home for a visit. Simeon works far north in Ontario and Joe has had opportunities to also go up and fish with him on some wilderness lakes full of fish.

The Kubasseks love to tributary drift-fish and they are taking advantage of the fresh-run steelhead that have come up several of the Lake Erie tributaries after the recent rains.

This is “bush-wacking” at it’s best! Carefully walking and carrying 13′ rods through often heavy bush to get some of the best pools and runs. Some of these tributaries may not be big, but they produce big steehead!!
