Lake Erie, ON Tributary fishing report.
Posted on May 10th, 2010Tyler & Jason Howick report. We have started fishing Lake Erie and lower sections of tributaries for early pre-spawn channel cats. We have been out fishing a few times from shore and have only caught a few fish each trip.

Some cats have started showing up but high numbers of pre-spawn fish are not in yet. We were using simple bottom rigs fished with fresh cut-bait on longer 8-9ft rods in medium to medium-heavy action. Spinning or baitcasting reels spooled with 30-50 lb braid achieved long casts and good hooksets.
