Lake Erie, ON tributary fishing for channel catfish.
Posted on July 14th, 2013
Jason & Tyler Howick report. Jason and I fished one of our favourite Erie, ON tributaries today for channel catfish. We fished a long stretch of faster, shallower water and also the lower, slower stretches. We moved quickly from spot to spot, catching a fish here and there. We fished large slip-bobbers with cut-bait. We caught 6 fish and lost/missed 3 others (nothing over 10 lbs). The water temperature varied from 69.5 to 73F. In a few cases we double-anchored in the best looking spots so we could make the best presentations to holding channel cats.
