[nggallery id=796]Tracey John Hittel reports. Steelhead this summer and already fall has been a constant influx of big Steelhead, as well big groups of anglers and as Pic 2 and 3 are typical sea running Steelhead and the fellas from Switzerland were all smiles, me too!
Pic 4 is a Skeena Steelhead on the fly after the first single handed cast and wham! A fish that pushes 20lbs.
That day we landed 4 nice Halibut and lost another pair, that evening at the lodge we had a fish fry that could have pulled a bear off a gut pile.
Steelhead on the fly was new for some of the group and the first Steelhead you catch you will never forget, pics 6 and 7 are Gregory with a chrome fish on his single hander, using a historic fly called the Popsicle. And Maciek with a pair that day, his first Steelhead on the Spey. He took a lesson in Poland, and boom babee, fish on. Both of these gentlemen will return next year for the spring run.
Arriving guests this week are from Japan, Switzerland, USA, and BC.
