Kawartha Lakes panfish.

Posted on July 8th, 2020

Our good friend Ed Dolstra has been switching it up between catching Kawartha Lakes Small & Largemouth Bass and tasty panfish.

He has been fishing in 5′ water using live bait and also small jigs under a sensitive float to catch Pumpinksee and Crappie. Crappies are not record size, but they are eating size!

When two crappie are a meal for one person, they are ideal. Take advantage of hot summer temperatures and if the gamefish don’t cooperate, make sure to check out the shallows for nice-sized panfish.
