Kawartha Lakes, ON mixed bag.
Posted on July 2nd, 2019Summertime is excellent if you’re planning on fishing any of the Kawartha Lakes, ON for a mixed bag of walleye, large & smallmouth bass and musky. Even with higher water levels this year the fishing has been excellent.
Josh Westerink send us these images and reports the bass fishing has been as easy as fishing 1/4 & 3/8 oz spinnerbaits along the shorelines and shallow water structure for both Large & Smallmouth Bass.
The Kawartha’s have a healthy population of Musky and when you’re targeting other species it pretty common to hook-up to a “Lunge” that’s targeting the same species in the same locations. Sometimes some of the largest musky are hooked on some of the smaller bass/walleye lures, so be prepared.
