Kawartha Lakes mixed “fish-fry”.
Posted on July 2nd, 2018Summer time is cottage and family weekend time on many of our southern Ontario lakes. Waters are warm, weeds are up and it’s ideal for swimming and fishing. Many anglers are taking advantage of the excellent Bass and Panfish opportunities throughout the Kawartha Lakes, ON.
Many panfish can be caught right from shore off docks just fishing a worm and a float. More serious Bass and Panfish anglers either use their own boat or rent a boat to get out to open-water weedlines and weedbeds to catch even bigger Panfish and nice Bass.
Ed Dolstra has been having good luck fishing Lake Scugog and catching a mix of nice Panfish and eating-size bass. Both species are ideal to target especially if you have young anglers. No fancy gear required, jut being at the right spot at the right time.
