Kawartha Lakes ice panfish.
Posted on January 28th, 2021Cold temperatures have taken a while to hit southern Ontario and ice anglers have been wise to wait until ice thickness become thicker to venture out on any ice.
Ed Dolstra who loves to fish in the Kawartha Lakes, ON fishes close to shore in only 5-7′ of water and focuses on catching good-size, tasty panfish.
Ed usually fished small live minnows just off the bottom and catches just enough panfish for a tasty fresh fish dinner. Looks like he caught just the right about of good-size Perch and Crappie for a dinner for two!
