Kawartha Lakes ice-crappie.

The Kawartha’s offers excellent panfish opportunities all season long. While most anglers think of Lake Simcoe as producing jumbo perch, many of the other Kawartha lakes also does.


Our good friend Ed Dolstra changed it up from ice-fishing for crappie to chasing jubmo perch, and he did well. Ed was again fishing in shallow water, less than 8′ fishing live minnows close to the bottom. Both ice-crappie and ice-perch are easy to catch, the trick is to locate them!
