Kawartha Lakes “heating up”

My Dad and I were fishing up in Apsley, ON finally as the weather worked out this past Saturday. We took my Swift Kipawa canoe out, as is the only way you can access the lake. I was using my Bass Pro Shops Tourney Special bait cast set up 7′ rod / reel combo, 50 lbs. test Bass Pro Shops titanium leader and 12 lbs. Suffix Elite line to land the walleye in the photo. The Suffice line performed flawlessly, very strong, smooth, very low memory and low stretch. I also landed a couple largemouth bass on the smaller size, very healthy fish and active in the lily pads and weeds in shallow water using my Rapala EX Series 6′ 6″ spinning combo with 8 lbs. test Suffix Elite line. Again, the Suffix worked very well over and through the lily pads. My Dad caught the bass in the photo using a good, old fashioned and time tested Arbogast Jitter Bug.
I should also mention, that the walleye in the photo was caught on a Rapala Rattlin’ Rap in light blue / silver colour. It was the same lure and same location I hooked the walleye on previously. Very good product !
