Johnny Sinnott sent us this image & account of the tiger musky they caught while fishing in Balsam Lake, ON. Now take a good hard look at this gorgeous Kawartha Lakes tiger musky Derek Conner battled in the shallow back waters of Balsam Lake while fishing top water for largemouth! He was fishing a frog on heavy gear over weed lines and lily pads when this giant came out of no where and made her self known! Against all odds with frayed line and frayed nerves Derek wrestled this trophy to the boat! It measured 45″ long and is among the largest and most beautiful tigers we’ve ever seen ! Absolutely beautiful. That pattern is unmatched and second to none. This musky is a product of special genes, it’s environment and a true reflection of it’s surroundings! Part of the mystery and allure of fishing is that you just never know what will erupt out of the blackness and leave you vibrating with emotion!
