Smallmouth Bass anglers know that Fall is one of the best times to catch numbers and good size smallies. If you can endure some cooler temperatures and maybe even rain, you can have some amazing fishing. This is the time to use soft-plastic and fish them slower like the Fishing Compete Wacky Worms and fish those rock/weed areas in the 5-12′ depth.
Josh Westerink who loves to fish the Kawartha’s, ON was recently fishing for the day with his first mate, Johnny. Amazingly Johnny was able to fish with his Dad all day and even helped to land some of the bass.
Fall is not only a great time to catch Smallies, but the trees changing colors is also a sight to behold.
