Kawartha Fall Perch & Bass.

Posted on November 1st, 2017

The weather is turning colder and wetter, but the fishing continues to be good for Kawartha Lakes panfish and largemouth bass. Our friend Ed Dolstra has been continuing to fish shallow and catching a nice mix of eating-size perch and some chunky largemouth bass.

He reports catching lot’s of perch but is only keeping some of the larger ones up to 11 1/2″ for eating. As water temperatures drop, small live minnows fished below a float or on a “pickerel-rig” consistently produces when it get’s tougher to catch perch on artificial lures.
