Just shot a trophy pike TV show from Kesagami Lodge, ON.
Posted on June 2nd, 2010[nggallery id=236]We just spent the last 5-days enjoying the excellent fishing Kesagami Lodge, ON has to offer. My wife Barbara, myself, and our guest Bill McFarlane spent the last few days hooking big pike in the reeds and catching lot’s of walleye on points and in bays throughout Kesagami Lake. We obtained enough footage to produce 3-trophy pike shows and 1-walleye show. We all caught pike in the 30-40″ range and the largest fish of the trip was a chunky pike that measured in at just under 42″! We used the Rapala Magnum heavy action spinnig rods/Xi spinning reels and the Rapala North Coast 2-piece, heavy action 8′ baitcasting rods equipped with the Rapala Andros baitcating reels. All outfits were loaded with 20 lb. test Rapala Titanium Braid line. The top working lures were buzzbaits and Lucky Strike Weedless Spoons. We caught our largest pike fishing in water as shallow as 1 1/2″ loaded with reeds. Weather was unpredictable and we experienced rain, air temperatures as low as 5C, and strong winds. The weather did not stop us from fishing throughout the lake and catching lot’s of fish. If you would like to enjoy some of the best pike fishing Ontario has to offer, make sure to contact Kesagami Lodge.
