Just limited-out on Pacific Cod at Sund’s Lodge, BC.
Posted on August 10th, 2010[nggallery id=295]The fishing has been excellent at Sund’s Lodge, BC. Today we shot a dynamic Pacific Salmon TV show and also caught our limits of Pacific Cod which are delicious eating and plentiful. We fish in 200-250′ of water using 10 oz. Luhr Jensen Stinger vertical jigs with 50 lb. Sufix Braid line loaded on the Rapala Hydros counter reels and Rapala Magnum heavy-action baitcasting rods.
The Cod were feeding on large schools of Herring right on the bottom. One of the images shows one of the freshly eaten herring that one of the Cod had regurgitated while being landed. Our guide Geoffrey Duddridge even caught two cod at the same time. We again enjoyed beautiful scenery, we saw lot’s of wildlife including whales, sea lions, seals, eagles and black bears, and even met a group of sea kayakers enjoying the great weather.
My wife Barbara and our TV crew will be fishing from Sund’s Lodge until Friday and we are looking to produce several more TV shows.
If you would like to catch trophy Pacific Salmon, a variety of bottom-fish including trophy Halibut, www.sundslodge.com is the resort to book!
