Can you imagine taking an exotic fishing adventure to the Amazon in Columbia, South America? Well our good friend John Grdosic and his son Conner did just that.
I had the pleasure doing a couple of 1hr TV specials on the headwaters of the Amazon river and I can confirm that it is a mind-blowing experience.
It’s hot, exotic and the fish extremely aggressive!
The big “drawing-card” fish to North American anglers is the Peacock Bass or “pavon” as they are called in Spanish.
These fish are giant Cichlids that are extremely aggressive and don’t hit but “smash” lures.
One of the top lures to use for them is the Luhr Jensen Woodchopper that is equipped with large propellers.
and makes almost as much comotion on the surface as a small boat which Peacock bass can’t resist striking!!
I think John will agree that this was a trip of a lifetime!!
