I love to fish multi-species and one that I look forward to every spring in the Great Lakes is the White Bass, especially when the major run is on and they bunch-up in rivers.
My wife Barbara & I went out recently to see if the big females started to come in and they did. We landed several fish up to 17″. Even though the waters have been high and cold, these larger White Bass are very aggressive and smashed our Fishing Compete Mad Tom’s and Lunker City Fin-S Fish fished on a 1/4 and 3/8 oz head. They should be in the rivers and harbors for at least a month and I hope people take advantage of this excellent fighting and tasting fish.
