It’s prime Largemouth Bass time!

Posted on August 4th, 2022

Mid-summer when water temps are high, weed growth flourishing are the best conditions to target Largemouth Bass. One of our favorite ways to find them is by cranking deeper weedlines where most anglers either fish plastic worms or other soft-plastic imitations.

Largemouth Bass.
Barb holds up a trophy Largemouth Bass that could not resist her perch-colored crankbait fish in 9′ water around weeds.

We choose to crank lures that dive down to 10′ which imitate the smaller fish those open-water Largemouth Bass are looking to feed on. Some of our most productive colors are perch and chartreuse. We can fish the crankbaits fast and cover more water then fishing a slower presentation. And once we locate Bas they usually smash our lures.
