Itch to “twitch” in NY.

Posted on June 20th, 2017

With the regular bass fishing season just opening the 3rd Sat. in June in southern Ontario, some of us have had taken the opportunity to practice some bass presentations in our international, NY waters that have an “all-year” bass season.

Water is still high and clear and many smallmouth are still crusing the shallower shorelines and feeding heavily. Average water temps. are in the mid to high 60F depending how deep you are fishing. Many smallmouth are feeding suspended on schools of baitfish and smaller panfish. This is an ideal time to fish those natural colored twitch-baits in the water column. Make sure to wear polarized sunglasses and you’ll see those followers that you can entice to hit close to the boat!
