“Italo’s Minnow” for fall Walleye.

Posted on October 8th, 2020

Fall is a great time to target Walleye as in many areas they start heading shallow to feed heavily especially just before dark. Dropping water temperatures definitely draws fall Walleye to feed on baifish that are still in shallower water.

James Packer and Michelle Richardson have been fishing jigs with a variety of soft-plastics including the Fishing Compete “Italo’s Minnow” and getting good results.

As temperatures continue to drop it’s a good idea to slow down your presentation and fish close to the bottom. “Italo’s Minnow” is ideal since just a little shake of the rod-tip produces a tantalizing live minnow action that Walleye can’t resist!
