Grand River kayak bonanza.

Our friend Scott Clark who loves to fish from his power-kayak also enjoys fishing the different section of the Grand River, ON.

Scott uses both crankbaits and worm harness and trolls them both using his electric motor.

Freshwater Drum are plentiful in the Grand River and strike most lures.

Scott has been catching a nice mixed bag of Channel Catfish, Freshwater Drum and Walleye.

While many anglers use live or dead-bait to catch Channel Catfish they won’t hesitate striking a crankbait or worm harness.

The key is to troll or cast the breaks in the 8-12′ range. Slow trolling both crankbaits and harnesses is the best presentation to cover water and to catch all three species.
