Pat & Mike have assisted us for 2-decades in producing trophy Walleye & Bass shows in the South-western end of Lake Erie, the Detroit River and Lake St. Clair. For those of you that follow our TV show, Pat Pagano also coordinates the ICHA Handicapable Fishing Derby ( www.icha.ca )that takes place annually on the Windsor water-front.

This weekend as most of you know had tough weather conditions and even though we had planned to fish with our good friend Aldo Nava (www.niagarafishingadventures.com ), the Lake was too rough and we had thunder storms and heavy rains move through. So being the passionate anglers we are, as couples we went down to the Welland Recreational Canal at Hwy.#406 and all fished with the same outfits; a Rapala light-action rod/reed/Titanium 10 lb. test braid line and a Rapala #10 X-Rap. We twitched from the shorelines and caught both largemouth bass and smallmouth bass.

The outing was totally informal followed with a nice dinner in Niagara Falls. If you are looking for a good shore fishing area that offers over 11km of fishable shorelines (x2 since you can fish both sides of the canal), all you have to do is go down to Welland, ON. The fishing is excellent there for large & smallmouth bass, pike and a variety of panfish!
