India to host 2nd Catch & Release Trout Fishing Championship to promote Trout habitat conservation.

I had the pleasure of fishing and producing several trout shows in northern India. You can see those shows on our Italo Labignan YouTube  channel. While I was there I stayed at the Hymalayan Trout House and spoke lengthy to the owner-/operator  about the excellent brown and rainbow trout fishing and about conservation. Even at that time he conveyed that the communities surrounding the main trout rivers in the area; the Tirthan and Uhl river systems were of high priority to the residents and the visiting anglers and that they would do everything they had to, to protect this wonderful fishery.

I was really impressed when I received the info.  promoting the All India Open Catch & Release Trout Angling Championship & Interactive Workshop on Protection of Trout Bio-Divrsity. It’s amazing that even in such a remote part of the world like the Greater Hymalayas, where people live very humble lives and do not have the luxury of support by large organizations as we do in North America, like Trout Unlimited, they still know to protect their fabulous trout waters!

By the way, if you are planning a trip to India and want to make fishing a part of it, you can contact The Travel Circuit who specialize in packaging India fishing trips as well.
