[nggallery id=904]Today we had a 3hr drive from the Taragarh Palace to Berot, India where we choose to fish for brown trout. On the way to Berot all you can see is beautiful scenery and lot’s of river. We stopped on one bridge and looked down and we could see 20-40 mahseer, with some looking like they were over 30 lb!!
[nggallery id=903]On our way to Berot we were also delayed by someone driving his truck off the road and into a small creek. The roads are narrow here in the Upper Himalays, but most drivers are very careful. Fortunately the driver of this truck was not hurt.
[nggallery id=902]We covered a few kilometers of river since most of the stretches are too fast to hold trout, we would use the vehicles to move from spot to spot. We fished fly rods and ultralight outfits and caught all of our fish on the ultralight outfit. My most productive lure was the Rapala CD3 in the trout color.
Tomorrow, our last fishing day in the Himachel Pradesh, Upper Himalayas of India, we will go back after Mahseer and hope to get some larger fish.
