In-shore spring Salmon.
Posted on April 20th, 2022Anglers are taking advantage of in-shore Lake Ontario salmon fishing. Our good friend Aldo Nava that runs www.niagarafishingadventures.com reports that fishing has been good right out from Port Dalhousie, ON.
He has been catching mix catch of trout & salmon fishing in 30-50′ water using all the standard set-ups like Dipsey Divers, shallow downriggers & lead-core lines.
Weather is the main factor in attracting fish in-shore. If the winds are coming off the lake, warmer shoreline water temps move in fish look to feed on baitfish. If winds are off-shore the warmer water gets blown out and fish scatter.
