Ice Rainbows.

Good ice conditions have enabled anglers all over Ontario to get out and pursue their favorite ice-fish.

While most anglers are targeting in-land lakes for panfish, walleye, pike, whitefish and lake trout, some have been targeting steelhead and rainbows. Andrew Yeung has been targeting Great Lakes rainbows using ClearDrift soft-beads.

He has been jigging them gently and also fishing them on set-lines. Some days the single eggs have been working well, on other days the ClearDrift clusters have been doing well. From seeing his catches it looks like ice-bows love single eggs as much as their relatives running the rivers.
