Hot Smallmouth Bass Fishing in Lake Erie, NY.
Posted on May 23rd, 2009This weekend my wife Barbara and I had the pleasure of meeting and fishing with Chris & Jennifer Jackson from Thunder Bay, ON. Chris had won a weekend in Niagara Falls and fishing for the weekend with me as a prize from Rapala. We took advantage of the warm weather and calm Lake Erie conditions and headed out to some of the shoals on the NY side of the lake. We fished 3/16 oz. jigheads/4″ tubes, and the Rapala Husky Jerk #13 in water that ranged from 12-25′ deep. We honestly lost count of the number of fish we caught. Tomorrow we’re off fishing the base of Niagara Falls to see if we can hook into some late season migratory trout.
