Hot Lake Ontario salmon action.
Posted on October 18th, 2017Capt. Aldo Nava who operates www.niagarafishingadventures.com , keeps chartering on every calm day out of St. Catharines and reports that the fishing is unbelievable!
He is start letting his lines out in about 70′ water and trolls out to about 200′ of water. A few days ago he boated about 30 silver salmon ranging in size from a few pounds right up to the teens.
While most Lake Ontario anglers take their boats out of the water in Oct. they may not realize that the fish continue to feed right through the fall and even the winter time. With the nice weather we have been having some anglers like Aldo have been able to really capitalize on the almost non-existing fishing pressure out on the big water and excellent fishing. Aldo is still running downriggers and dipsey divers rigged with spoons and cut bay to catch his fish!
