Like it wasn’t hot enough in Ontario, I decided to head down to Florida a few days before the ICAST show to enjoy some saltwater fishing. I can confirm that daily temperatures are around 38C which is not comfortable being outdoors unless you are on the water.
For my first outing I decided again to head out about 20 miles and see if the Red Grouper were back on some of the structure I caught them this past spring. I was pleasently surprised they were still using the same feeding grounds. I used my Raymarine Hybrid Touch with the C-Map charts and DownVision technology to find the right structure areas and than marked the fish I caught. I landed somewhere around a dozen nice grouper and kept a couple to enjoy a fresh fish dinner.
