Hold-over tributary migratory brown trout action.
Posted on March 20th, 2015
Many Great Lakes tributaries still have migratory brown trout that have wintered in the rivers and are now on their way back to the Great Lakes. Migratory “drop-back” browns will hold in the slower, deeper sections of pools and especially in the deeper “tail-out” areas.

Best presentation is either drifting a fresh trout/salmon spawn-sack, or a single imitation TriggerX trout egg. Both are best fished with a good quality drift outfit like the Rapala Shift, Classic, R-Type, or Concept Ti series.
