Hamilton Harbour ( Ontario, Canada ) Fishing Report
Posted on July 13th, 2010This past Sunday I had the opportunity of fishing Hamilton Harbour with a fishing buddy of mine. We managed to get on the water around 6:30 AM and proceeded to fish up near the Desjardins Canal area to start our day. We were casting a variety of lures including Terminator Spinner Baits. Regretfully our outing only managed to produce 1 decent looking smallmouth bass as shown in the photo below that hammered my Spinnerbait shortly after it landed near a boat dock. One of the areas we fished had a small clump of weeds near shore where we spotted a decent looking smallmouth that was unreceptive to our presentations (as well as several baby smallmouth and baby largemouth bass). My partner was using a Red & White spinner tied directly to his line, he ended up landing several small largemouth bass with this presentation before our morning trip finished.
