The annual Hamilton Harbour Fishing Derby is happening this coming Saturday Aug. 17th.
The Dofasco Angling Club has been supporting this function for several years now (since its inception) and we are planning to be there again this year.
As with most of our events, we always need volunteers. The day gets going at approximately 7:00am and winds up around 1:00pm.
Our tent location is adjacent to the Hamilton Harbour Police Unit docks, and Williams Coffee Shop. Lots of free parking available.
Rods and reels are provided for the children if they don’t have one. We provide help with rigging up lines, baiting hooks, assisting with landing fish, getting the entry filled in and submitted correctly, etc.,etc..
See the attached file (poster) for further details.
We need help from our membership as volunteers to make this day successful. If you can come down to the harbour this Saturday it is greatly appreciated. If you can’t be there for the full duration any amount of help is always welcome.
If you plan on being there please contact Bill Jeffries at 905-979-7590
. Even if you fail to contact Bill, feel free to just show up.
Go the the end of John St. , turn left, go past the parking lot for Brewers Marine , turn right, and we are just down a little way on the left.
