Habitat for Humanity fish-fry lunch.

Posted on September 20th, 2015

I had the privileged to help prepare & cook fish along with Jamie Shepherd and a group of volunteers this week from Faith Tablernacle in Wellend, ON for a very worthwhile cause, the work crew for a Habitat for Humanity house that is being built in Welland, ON.

The lunch included fresh, fried fish, a coleslaw salad, all the fixings and dessert.

The big hit was Jamie’s “fishwich” served on a bun. It’s made up of freshly fried fish, tomato, onion, salt/pepper and mayonnaise!

Everyone enjoyed the lunch and had lot’s of energy to get back to building a home for a needy family! Habitat for Humanity‘s mission is to mobilize volunteers and community partners in building affordable housing and promoting homeownership as a means to breaking the cycle of poverty.

If you would like to be involved, I would encourage you to contact them.
