Grubster best Goby soft-plastic imitation.
Posted on November 19th, 2016I get a chance to fish the Lower Great Lakes a lot for trophy smallmouth, walleye, largemouth, steelhead, salmon and trout. One thing I have come to appreciate is that all of them can feed on the invasive Roundheaded Goby.
While most anglers use tubes in Goby color which work fine, I have been blown-away by how well the Lunker City Grubster has done fished along the bottom. I think it’s a combination of the round body, Goby color and amazing swimming tail-action.
I have fished it in Lake Ontario, the Niagara River, Lake Erie, the Detroit River and Lake St. Clair with very impressive results. It is a very versatile plastic grub that comes in several different sizes to match any fishing conditions!
