Great Lakes tributary Steelhead.

Posted on April 11th, 2020

Many anglers are continuing to fish the “all-year” open season stretches of many Great Lakes tributaries for steelhead.

Our good friend Joe Kubassek was out the other day drifting roe bags under a float and was pleasantly surprised by catching a mix of Steelhead and resident Brown Trout. As water temps increase any steelhead in the lower stretches of tributaries and those still in the harbors will make their runs upstream and many are already spawning. Suckers are also coming in good numbers and anglers can have fun fishing for both in the lower stretches.
