Grand River, Caledonia – ON / Fishing Report
Posted on October 19th, 2010My Dad and I made it out onto the Grand River for a couple hours on Sunday evening, upriver of the Caledonia Dam. We fished the mouth of Little Creek casting Rapala crankbaits. I had casted out and was half way reeled back in when I landed this very nice little, health pike. The pike was landed on a Rapala Tail Dancer # 9 in the hot chub colour. I could also see on my Humminbird 141 C colour fishfinder that the water has really cooled downt o 11 degrees celsius. Maybe a little more fishing this month and then I think it’ll be time to pack the boat in for the winter. This fish was definately heading to the frying pan!
