[nggallery id=917]I had the privilege yesterday to greet and talk to all the students, teachers, Vice Principal, & Principal at the Port Weller, ON grade school. My excuse for being there was Chris Johnson who owns and operates CJ’s Garage in Port Robinson, ON. Chris was kind enough to let me use one of his facilities to rebuild the boat that is now used in Florida. Chris had asked me if I would do a fishing presentation to his son Seth’s class and I was glad to.
Our pup Mulligan joined me and we started by speaking to most of the school in the gymnasium. From there we went to Seth’s room where we talked fish and fishing. The class was attended by 24 children that were excellent and had lot’s of comments and questions. We discussed how different the world fish live in is, the senses that fish have, the difference between fish and mammals that live in water, and of course fishing-stuff.
All the students received Canadian Sportfishing stickers, signed posters and at the end of the presentation each one of them received either a Rapala rod or a Rapala kids fishing outfit. They were ecstatic to receive their gifts!!
I have a feeling there will be a few more kids fishing next spring!
