Georgina Fishing Series Receives Government Grant to increase event Payouts.

GEORGINA FISHING SERIES, parent company of the Canadian Ice Fishing Championship / The Great Georgina Ice Fishing Derby / Perch Attack Tournament / Fall Perch Challenge are pleased to announce their successful bid for a Celebrate Ontario 2009 Tourism Grant. Out of 500 applications only 224 were approved and the GEORGINA FISHING SERIES was one of them. GEORGINA FISHING SERIES was approved for a $37,500 grant that they will be using to guarantee large payouts at their various fishing competitions held in GEORGINA Ontario. The GEORGINA FISHING SERIES and Tourism Ontario believe offering larger purses will increase the number of competitors, thus attracting more tourism to the area.
