G2 – Transition from Hardwater to Openwater – just around the corner.
Posted on January 28th, 2010Transition from Hardwater to Openwater – just around the corner.
Well the winter is rolling along quite smoothly, with our clients catching hundreds of Walleye on the Bay of Quinte….However, just around the corner is the start of Open water fishing for Monster Steelies on the
Niagara River (March to April).
During this time of year the river has an incredible run of Steelies that has clients catching numerous Steelies
a day with some of them reaching 15 to 16 lbs. After that, we quickly jump into walleye (May till June) where
we start to target Spring contour fishing for Walleye on the Bay of Quinte. Hitting resident walleye from 3 to 10lbs
and numbers reaching 20 to 30 per angler a day.
So, even though there’s ice and snow outside, start the thinking process and look at planning a trip so we can get
you on Monster Steelies and amazing Walleye.
Give us a call, you’ll be happy you did.
Cheers, G2Angling…
