French River, ON Fishing Report.

Gabor Horvat reports. The fishing on the French river was excellent. The water level is very low, so extra caution is recommended if you are planning on going to that area. The water temperature was very good for fishing in the morning and for swimming in the afternoon.

The Mogus family joined us on this trip and had a great time. Rebecca caught a trophy large-mouth bass, Ruth caught a smaller bass but she had one on that got off at the boat, so we could not get a picture. Robert caught his first pike, and Drago was showing his kids how to use the net and how to unhook fish properly. He lost a monster pike. Congratulation to the Mogus family for their catch. We used soft baits, crank baits, spinner baits and buzz baits. Everything was working at certain time of the day. The weed beds were our targets and all together it was a successful fishing week.
