Florida, USA saltwater fishing action.

Posted on June 25th, 2013

[nggallery id=881]Barbara, Mulligan and I had fun catching bluefish, Spanish mackerel and jacks using Blue Fox spoons. Yesterday we ventured out at around 10:30pm to catch the end of the rising tide and to hopefully catch enough bluefish and mackerel to have a couple of meals with our friends.  Water conditions were good, but because it was nearly high tide we knew fish would ne scattred on the reef and we decided to troll.

We again used  Rapala Shift rods and theRapala  Magnum Baha saltwate rod matched with with the Rapala spinning reel and loaded with Sufix 10 lb., 832 braid & 20 lb. Sufix fluorocarbon leader. I used our  Minn Kota Riptide electric and Minn Kota Talon anchoring system to locate and than hold where the bluefish & jacks were feeding.  Again the top producing lures were the Blue Fox series of casting spoons

We dended up catching enough fish for our meals, but we had to work and cover lot’s of water to find them.
